LEGRAND SMART SWITCH MANUAL
If you don’t have the original starter kit manual you can remove the wall mounted “arrive home/ leave home” e-switch at the door as this also has the unique code on the back of it (under the instruction sticker on the back of the black wall plate). One more thing each Legrand started kit comes with a unique code on the starter pack instruction manual which you need to enter into HomeKit App to link the Legrand hub and devices. Let’s see how they go over the coming weeks / months 👀✅ I also would prefer a more reliable operation than I’m currently getting from HomeKit with devices not responding etc - eg use a proper wired solution with a proper hub I’ve gone down this path now, but I wouldn’t use these products again. I expect after sales support for these issues to be poor (about to find out)

No forums exist to help you with technical issues Online support for all the above issues is non existent (online help is more a sales pitch) You can buy them much cheaper at Bing Lee than an electrical wholesaler They are expensive especially if you want to replace everything (even more so given poor reliability I’ve had) Powerpoints have no physical switch so it’s operated only by app or a remote switch that you have to put somewhereĪpp works good but is very basic so you only use it for configuration of devices The blue LEDs in each switch are unreliable and as such you cannot use these as an indicator of operation, nor rely on them to find a switch in the dark I’m going to replace this and see if this is a one off or design/manufacturing defect shortlyĪs the dimmer switches don’t have neutral they rely on the light switch being “on” to power a hub connection thus resulting in a “failure to connect” error message in HomeKit every time the light switch is off (and this applies to every dimmer you have!) I may have to go to 1+2 gang wall plates (I’m going to replace the centre switch first to see if that fixes it)Ī dimmer burnt out within 10 minutes of use even though it is only running 2x54 watt led ceiling lights and is rated at 300 watt on spec. This means I constantly get a failed message from Siri/HomeKit.

The centre light switch in a three gang switch is unreliable I expect due to poor RF from being wedged between the other two units. One single pole light switch wouldn’t connect to the Legrand hub from initial power up even though it was only 4m from the hub - had to replace it. I’ve had the following hardware failures in the first week: They look good and fit standard size plaster cutouts and standard c plaster gpo clips The apartment didn’t have neutral wires to the light switches so I had to cut holes in some walls and ceilings to run additional wiring (all these switches need an active and neutral) I’ve just installed Legrand Arteor with Netatmo smart switches in my apartment, only a week ago and here are my learnings this far:
